CtrlP Railway Models - SBH 2248 Carriage Kit - NRR Ritz Rail
From 1987 carriage SBH 2248 was converted from SBZ 2248 (formerly SBS 2248) to enable the removal of older timber bodied luggage and brake vans from service by fitting a large luggage compartment to the steel bodied cars. This also entailed fitting a guard’s compartment, relocation of lavatories and reduction of sitting capacity to 36 passengers.
There are 2 kits that replicate SBH 2248 at 3 different stages of it’s working life:
Late 80’s SRA Candy (Kit A)
Early-Mid 90’s AN Indian Pacific (Kit A)
Late 90’s-Early 2000’s NRR Ritz Rail (Kit B)

- Highly detailed and variant specific 3D printed resin body and exterior/interior detail parts, and bogies
- Flush glaze windows
- Laser cut steel chassis brace
- Nickel silver etched Beclawat window frames and handbrake wheels
- Cast brass steps
- Genuine Kadee scale head whisker couplers
- Tangent semi-scale blackened metal wheelsets with brass pin-point bearings
