In as delivered condition, post 1975

This 2 pack features CDY wagon numbers 34601 and 34613, ’01 being the first wagon built

Originally designed with frames to support a tarpaulin for superphosphate traffic, these wagons carried everything from 20ft & 40ft shipping containers, scrap metal, pipe, steel, bagged wheat, hay and much more!

Prototype wagon information:

200 CDY wagons were built by Electric Power Transmission Pty Ltd (EPT) at their workshops in Marayong, Sydney across 1975-76. They were numbered 34601-34800.

In 1983, CDY capacity and gross was increased by 2 tons, following the removal of the 2 ton handicap from vehicles fitted with 2CM bogies.
